DULUTH, Minn. — Two southwest Minnesota fire chiefs received top honors at the Minnesota State Fire Chiefs Association Conference held last week in Duluth.

Marshall Fire Chief Quentin Brunsvold was named MSFCA 2025 Fire Officer of the Year for departments serving populations over 10,000. With over 20 years of service, Chief Brunsvold exemplifies leadership, integrity, and dedication to his community and the fire service across southwest Minnesota. Known for his calm leadership, community spirit, and tireless commitment, Brunsvold was recognized Friday night at the annual awards banquet.

Tracy Fire Chief Dale Johnson III also received Fire Officer of the Year honors for departments serving populations under 10,000.
