Linda Gail Leonard was born October 3, 1946 to Joe and Doris (Ostby) Leonard in South Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her youth was spent keeping busy with competitive ice skating, synchronized swimming and playing the piano for many local events. She graduated from Minneapolis West High School, she then continued her education at the University of Minnesota to be a physical education teacher. It was there that this stylish, big city girl met her country living, progressive farmer. On December 28th, 1969, Linda and Dennis were united in marriage. Together they shared 51 years of an adventured filled life. Linda was first and foremost a dedicated wife and mother. Even while she worked full time, her family always felt loved and well taken care of. Linda had many jobs when she moved to Tracy. She talked fondly of each one, but owning Summit Place was the highlight of her life. If you were lucky to spend more than five minutes in her presence, you were forever changed, and left with a little Linda in you.
Linda is survived by her husband Dennis of 51 years; her two children: Jay (Sheila) and Jen (Jason); four grandchildren: Nathan, Elizabeth, Addison and Tovin; sister-in-law Mary Leonard; and her four-legged walking buddy, Henry. She is preceded in death by her parents and younger brother Stevie.
