Kelsey Grammer isn’t really leaning on either “Cheers” or the original “Frasier” for the new revival. But he does want to bring back a MAJOR character: Diane.
On the “Kelly Clarkson Show”, he said he’d like to bring Shelley Long back to, quote, “put something to bed” and “end up with a nice thing between them.”
Shelley appeared as Diane on three episodes of the original “Frasier”, although two of them were in dream sequences.
The revival just finished its first season, with two former cast members making guest appearances: Bebe Neuwirth as Lilith, and Peri Gilpin as Roz.
