James “Jim” Citterman, age 63, of Hanley Falls, MN, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024 in the Sylvan Court Nursing Home in Canby. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2024 at the St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Wilno, MN. Burial will be in the St. John Cantius Catholic Cemetery, Wilno. Visitation will be Friday one hour prior to the service at the church. Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel in Canby, MN is entrusted with the arrangements.
James Thaddeus Citterman was born on August 25, 1960 in Canby, Minnesota to Thaddeus “Ted” and Delores (Skorczewski) Citterman. He was raised in Lincoln County, MN and attended Ivanhoe Public Schools. Following his education, he entered the US Navy and attended boot camp in Illinois and was stationed in San Deigo, CA. He returned to Minnesota where he worked in various factories and later in the Canby and Hendricks Hospitals. Jim enjoyed being with his family and friends. He spent time watching football and movies, playing cards and going on road trips. He loved Great Danes, going for walks, and playing frisbee.
He is survived by his siblings: LuAnn Beachem, Mike Citterman, Frank Citterman and Darlene Anseeuw; and nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
