MARSHALL — A new phase of roadwork on Minnesota Highway 19 (College Drive) in Marshall begins today.

Starting this morning, the intersection of Saratoga Street and College Drive is closed as crews begin work in the area. Several other crossings remain open, including North Greeley Street, Marlene Street, Legion Field Road, Parkview Drive and Fourth Street, while Marvin Schwan Memorial Drive provides access to downtown parking.

Construction continues along West College Drive, where crews are pouring concrete for turn lanes, sidewalks and driveways. A new right-turn-only intersection at Marvin Schwan Memorial Drive is now complete. Utility and underground work is also underway between Fourth Street and North Greeley Street.

Highway 19 traffic remains detoured to Lyon County Road 7 and Highway 23, with local access open between Channel Parkway and Fourth Street. Drivers are urged to watch for workers and traffic control devices in the construction zone.
