ST. PAUL (LEARFIELD) – The state Health Department is reminding Minnesotans who are tested for COVID to self-isolate until they get their test results.

Infectious Disease Director Kris Ehresmann (AIRZ-man) says there have been a number of incidents of COVID transmission when people went out into the community and later found out they were positive.

“If you’re getting tested, that means you think that there is a reason or a reasonable likelihood that you may have COVID,” said Ehresmann. “So it’s really important that you stay home.”

Ehresmann says it’s especially important for healthcare, long-term care and childcare workers, and for those who have contact with high-risk groups.
