REDWOOD FALLS, MN A fatal crash late Sunday night is under investigation after a vehicle collided with a parked tractor and caught fire in Redwood Falls Township. 

According to the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, emergency crews were called around 11:34 p.m. on April 27 to a report of a vehicle fire near Minnesota State Highway 19 and County Road 17. Responders discovered a 2014 Subaru Outback had left the road and struck an unoccupied John Deere tractor on private property. Both vehicles were fully engulfed in flames. 

The Redwood Falls Fire Department extinguished the fire, and the driver of the Subaru was found dead inside the vehicle. 

The Minnesota State Patrol, Redwood Falls Police Department, Centra Care Ambulance, and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office also responded to the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
