All holiday season long view decorated Christmas trees by area families, businesses, non-profit organizations, and service organizations inside at the Lyon County Museum. Vote for your favorite trees, just place money in a box located by each tree. The top 3 organizations/businesses with the most money in their boxes will win the 2023 tree walk. The Canby Chamber of Commerce brings you the Canby Hometown Holidays Saturday, December 2nd & Sunday, December 3rd. All types of events and fun throughout the event, details listed below.    

St. Stephen Lutheran Church is hosting their annual cookie walk on Saturday, December 2nd from 9 am to 11 am. Mix and match your own variety of homemade Christmas baked goods (containers will be provided). Serving Coffee, Hot Chocolate & Candy Canes. Plus Santa will be stopping by also! All proceeds benefit St. Stephen Youth trips & activities.  

Christmas in Garvin is December 2nd from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the American LegionAuxiliary Hall just 1 block off of Highway 59 at 200 2nd street. Bring your Christmas wish letters, visit with Santa, and participate in craft activities! There will be treat bags for the youngsters and fire truck rides. Don't forget to bring your camera! Adults are invited to come visit, have treats, and get their photo taken with Santa too. Sponsored by the Garvin Business Club.

The Lyon County Museum's Holiday Home Tour is Sunday, December 3rd from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. This year the tour is featuring the homes of Dennis and Carol White, Lorraine Reiter and Dawn Lee, & Tim and Donna Swenson. Don't forget to tour the Lyon County Museum at 301 West Lyon Street in Marshall from 12 - 4 p.m. to snack and sip, chat and browse as well. Cost is 20$ per tick. Tickets only available at the Lyon County Museum. The event is a fundraiser for the Lyon County Historical Society Museum.

Tuesday, December 5th Pizza Hut in Marshall will be having the first December Dine Local Help Local, donating 20% of all Marshall location sales to the United Way. The United Way of Southwest Minnesota is delighted to announce its partnership with local businesses for the Dine Local Help Local events in December. All funds raised during Dine Local Help Local events will be invested in local programs to help those in need in the service area.
