Vietnam Veterans Panel

The Lyon County Museum, 301 W Lyon St, Marshall is hosting a Vietnam Veterans Panel in connection with the new exhibit, The Vietnam War and Lyon County.  This event will be held on Saturday, November 4 at 2:00 PM in the conference room at the museum.  The panel includes local Vietnam veterans: Dan Dybsetter, Dan Markell, Rich Maurer, Karl Porisch, and George Seldat.  Panelists will discuss topics related to their service during the Vietnam War.  The panel presentation is free and open to the public.  Light refreshments will be served.  For more information: 507-537-6580 or director@lyoncomuseum.org

Come to Lincoln County VFW Post 2980 Saturday, November 4th from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. for a Deer Hunters Supper. Food served includes a choice of steak ($18), pork chop($15), or country fried steak($12) for  your meal.

Breakfast Medical Expense Fundraiser – Lake Benton Lions Club

Come to the Lake Benton Community & Event Center Sunday, November 5th, 2023 from    9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. for a medical expense benefit for the Flores family by the Lake Benton Lions Club. The breakfast menu includes pancakes, french toast, eggs, sausage, toast, coffee, & milk. All net breakfast proceeds go towards medical expenses for the Flores family.

Buffalo Ridge Chorale Farewell Concert

On Sunday, November 5th, at 7:00 pm the Buffalo Ridge Chorale will present its farewell concert at Christ Lutheran Church, Hendricks, Minnesota. Since 2010, the chorale has performed concerts in various communities in Minnesota. The evenings music selections include Gershwin's "Love Is Here to Stay" plus classics such as "Nice'N Easy", "I've Got the World on a String", "Always and Forever", "Turn Turn Turn" and many more. The Chorale's director, Dr. Anna DeGraff, is an instructor of applied voice and music appreciation at South Dakota State University in Brookings. 127th Annual Election Day Dinner

Join Grace First Parish in Russell, MN for their 127th annual Election Day Dinner November 7th. Food will be served between 4:30 - 7:00 pm. Adults cost $15.00, Youth ages 5-12 cost $7.00, and kids ages 4 and younger eat for free! Carryout is available. The Menu includes turkey with dressing, potatoes/gravy, corn, coleslaw, cranberry relish, homemade rolls, dessert, and beverages.

Balaton Community Blood Drive

Giving blood is a life saving way to help others, every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. Did you know that the American Red Cross declared a national blood shortage on Sept. 11, citing a critically low blood supply level that dropped nearly 25% since early August. You can do your part to help at the Balaton Blood Drive on Wednesday November 8th, 12:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at the Balaton Community Center.
