Meals include breakfast\, lunch\, & must be eaten onsite. \nJune 5th – 28th the program is available at Marshall Middle School Mon. – Fri. Breakfast served 8 am – 8:30 am\, Lunch served 12 – 12:30 pm. Please use door #14. \nJune 10th – 27th & July 8th -25th the program is available at Southview Elementary Mon. – Thurs. Breakfast served 8:30 – 9 am\, Lunch served 12 – 12:30 pm. DESCRIPTION:From 6 – 6:30 pm\, Thursday\, June 6th at the Lyon County Museum attendees may tour the newly dedicated Joseph A. Amato Research Center on the main floor of the Lyon County Museum. At 6:30 pm in the conference room on the 2nd floor\, Joseph Amato will give the talk\, “How Southwest Minnesota Became Home. Forty Years of Living in and Studying a Place”. The talk will be based on his forthcoming autobiography\, Spring of Springs\, one of recent treatments of self\, as he will explain. \nAt the November 2024 board meeting\, the LCHS Board of Directors approved naming the research room the Joseph A. Amato Research Center in recognition of Joe’s work in rural and regional history.
