Lake Benton Legion Memorial Day Program

Lake Benton Legion will be holding their Memorial Day program at 9:30 a.m. in the Lake Benton Opera House. This particular Memorial Day is quite special in Lake Benton this year as the remains of Glenn Cyriacks will be returned to the Krause Family. Cyriacks was stationed on the USS Oklahoma when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. His remains are only the second in the state to be returned. After the Memorial Day program which will be centered around Cyriacks time on the USS Oklahoma, there will be a 21-gun salute in front of the Lake Benton Post Home with coffee and cookies to follow.
