Keith “Damon” Johnson, age 46, of Marshall, Minnesota, died peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at his home. Memorial Services are currently pending, likely to be held in June 2023. Please watch for future announcements. Weather permitting, Damon’s scheduled benefit for this coming Saturday, March 18, 2023, is going to continue as planned. Please join the family and support them from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Olivia American Legion. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Prairie Home Hospice in Marshall, Minnesota, or to the family as they will be directing funds to enhance pancreatic cancer research and treatments. Keith Damon Johnson was born on November 2, 1976, in Slayton, Minnesota.  He was the son of Keith Morin and Tamie Johnson. The family moved around, primarily living in Hutchinson and then Olivia, Minnesota. After high school, Damon worked for many years at the Buffalo Lake Ethanol Plant, working his way up to manager. As an adult, He was baptized along with his infant daughter in the Christian faith.  On July 24, 2009, Damon was united in marriage to Vickie Gould in Marshall. The couple made their home in Ghent for a number of years before their move to Marshall in 2014. Damon worked as a boiler operator at the ADM plant in Marshall. Damon and Vickie raised three children: Alexis, Paige, and Logan.  Damon recently discovered a new passion in photography where he showcased a real talent and appreciation for the little things around him. His other enjoyments in life included going for walks at Alexander Ramsey Park in Redwood Falls, time spent with family, and gaming on his XBox and computer.

Keith Damon Johnson died peacefully following a courageous fight with pancreatic cancer on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at his home in Marshall, Minnesota. He reached the age of 46 years, 4 months, and 10 days. Blessed be his memory.

Damon survived by his wife, Vickie Johnson of Marshall; 3 children, Alexis Johnson, Paige Johnson, and Logan Haen; mother, Tamie (Jeff) Johnson-Lenz of Olivia; father, Keith (Karen) Morin of Cottonwood; sister, Mandy (Dan) Kaufenberg of Olivia; brother, Corey Johnson of Olivia; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Willard & Marion Morin; maternal grandmother, Janice Johnson; aunt, Sharie Witte; and a niece, Kamara.
