MARSHALL (KMHL) – Winter parking restrictions will begin on November 1st.
The city of Marshall is warning city residents that beginning Friday morning Marshall Police will begin enforcing the snow emergency routes for winter.
“One of the main purposes of that ordinance is to ensure our snow removal crews have a chance to clean the roads the way they should,” said Marshall Director of Public Safety Jim Marshall. “Without any obstructions.”
He says they really want to make sure people who park on the street pay attention to signs in the area.
“Read the signage that you’re parking in front of, it’s easy to get complacent and get used to just get a habit of parking in a certain place then November comes around and things change,” said Marshall.
Marshall says if anyone has any questions they can contact the Marshall Police Department.
