MARSHALL (KMHL) – The city of Marshall is asking for the community’s input as they put together their Strategic Plan for the next four years.

The city is inviting the community to participate in a Community Wide Strategic Planning meeting that will be held Monday night at the Marshall Area YMCA.

The city says attendees will have the opportunity to participate in and help City Management staff brainstorm on things to include in the upcoming plan. Some of the topics the city is looking for input on include:

  • Downtown Revitalization/Economic Development
  • Community Infrastructure
  • Public Safety
  • Community Outreach, Communication & Participation

“Contributing ideas at this Strategic Planning Meeting is a way for our citizens to get their voices heard,” said Marshall Mayor Bob Byrnes in a press release.

The meeting will utilize the World Cafe style of gathering input. The World Cafe methodology is a simple, effective and flexible format for hosting large group dialogue. The city says it’s a creative process for leading collaborative dialogue, sharing knowledge and creating possibilities for action in groups of all sizes.

The meeting starts at 6 p.m.
