Bradley Kent Johnson was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on July 9, 1959 to Kenneth and Lois (Emmons) Johnson. He grew up in Hendricks, Minnesota with his parents and siblings. Brad was a devoted husband, a proud father, a cherished grandfather, and a true friend to many. His passion for life was his faith, family, and community. His love for sports, which he followed faithfully and with great enthusiasm, included being a lifelong fan of all Minnesota teams. Whether watching his kids or more recently his grandson play their favorite sports, cheering from the stands, coaching a local team, or watching the game from his favorite chair, he was a true sports enthusiast.  Above all, Brad was a family man. He was united in marriage on August 9, 1986 to the love of his life, Tamara Thomsen and they shared 39 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and enduring memories. They made their homes in Denver, CO, Lakeville, MN, Phoenix, AZ, and eventually back to their “hometown” of Hendricks. He was a dedicated father to Lauren and Benjamin, and a doting grandfather to Ridge, who lovingly calls him Papa.  Through the years Brad worked in residential construction, partnered with his brother-in-law, Matt Thomsen, where they co-owned and managed a golf retail store, and for the last 25 years in the real estate industry. His love for working in real estate brought him to eventually owning his own brokerage, Lincoln Realty. Most recently, he was so happy and grateful to welcome his sister-in-law, Angela Schumacher as co-realtor.  Known for his warm smile, kindness to all, quick wit, and generous, peaceful spirit, Brad made everyone feel welcome and heard. His wisdom, quiet humor, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Grateful for having shared Brad’s life is his loving wife, Tamara; their children, Lauren (Johnson) and Lavione West, Benjamin and Destiny (Eggen) Johnson; grandson, Ridge West; and, not to be forgotten, his special canine companion, Teddy; his siblings, Teri Di Nello, Sharon (Mike) Evert, Jill (Joel) Huber, Keith (Lisa) Johnson; his parents in-law, David and LaDonna Thomsen; their children, Shelley (Dave) Hughes, Mathew (Stefini) Thomsen, Kathy (Mark) Swoyer, Angela (Darren) Schumacher; numerous nieces, nephews, beloved cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family and dear friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Lois Johnson; his grandparents Paul and Inga (Moe) Johnson and Reynolds and Lenora (Goettsch) Emmons.

Though his earthly journey has left us too soon, Brad’s legacy lives on in the laughter of his grandchild, the love of his family, and every game-day cheer that echoes in his memory. His family takes comfort in knowing he now rests in the loving arms of Jesus. Blessed be his memory.
