MONTEVIDEO – The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man whose body was found with a stab wound in Montevideo Monday morning. 69-year-old Mitchell Bruce Twite was identified as the deceased man, however his cause of death has not yet been determined. According to Montevideo Police, a postal worker found Twite’s body in a grassy area next to the post office parking lot in the 300 block of 1st Street.

The Montevideo Police Department says there is no known threat to the public as the active investigation continues. The investigation is being assisted by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
