Blanche Aunoien, age 88, of Hendricks, MN passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at the Hendricks Nursing Home in Hendricks, MN. Funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Tuesday, March 30th at Christ Lutheran Church in Hendricks. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at the East Hendricks ( Calvary) Cemetery. Houseman Funeral Home-Birk Chapel of Hendricks is entrusted with the arrangements.

Blanche Delores Aunoien was born December 29, 1932 in rural Hendricks, Minnesota to Elmer M. and Luella J. (Johnson) Ramlo. She was baptized and confirmed at Calvary Lutheran Church in Hendricks. She started her schooling at District 32 and then continued at District 5 and then finished her education at Hendricks High School and graduated in 1952. After graduation she attended LPN training in Watertown, SD and once she had completed her schooling, she then was employed by the Hendricks Community Hospital as an LPN and surgical tech for 52 years. On October 6, 1973 Blanche was united in marriage to Alvin Aunoien at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Hendricks. They were married for 13 years before Alvin passed away on March 8, 1987.  Blanche enjoyed reading, playing with cats and shopping for clothes. She also enjoyed cooking and was known for her hamburger-potato hotdish and lefse. Traveling was something she enjoyed, especially taking bus trips to New York, Washington DC, Florida and California. In later years her joy in traveling was going on rides around Hendricks and Horseshoe Bend. Having morning coffee at Irene and Arlene’s Café’s were a daily ritual that she looked forward to. Celebrating birthdays, holidays and the annual Ramlo Family Reunion were special times that Blanche loved dearly.  She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church where she was active with the WELCA. Blanche was also an active member of the Hendricks Hospital Auxiliary and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Blanche is survived by numerous cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
