A graveside service for Allan Hoseck, 64, of Porter, will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Bohemian Cemetery in Rural Canby, MN.  Visitation will take place on Friday, October 21, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Minneota.  Lunch and continued fellowship will take place on Saturday at the Taunton Community Center from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. 

Allan Bert Hoseck was born on May 25, 1958, in Canby, MN, to Bert and Verna (Nevins) Hoseck.  He grew up in Minneota and graduated from Minneota High School in 1976.  After high school, Allan was married and to this union were born children Jeremy, Jamie and Amanda.  Allan worked for Schott Corporation, Superior Truss, and as a bartender at local establishments.  In 1992, he started work at the Schwan Food Company where he worked until suffering health problems in 2020.  Allan was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.  He also enjoyed listening to his classic rock records.  He was a dog lover, especially German Shepherds.  Allan always worked hard to provide for his family.  He had an easy going demeanor and was very kind and accepting of everyone.  He was an excellent story teller and will be remembered for his big hugs to family, especially grandchildren who were his world.  His death is a deep loss to all who had known him.

After a two year battle with complicated health problems, Allan died on Monday, October 10, 2022, surrounded by his children at the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.  He is survived by his children Jeremy Hoseck of Taunton, Jamie (and Jay) Brown of Alexandria, Amanda (and Jeff) Soroko of Big Lake, grandchildren Rylie and Emilynn Soroko and Miller and Logan Brown; siblings Donna (and Phillip) Nuy, Sharon (and Doug) VanOverbeke, Sandy (and Ed) DeVlaeminck and Jenny (and Dave) Storlien and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
