UNDATED (KMHL) — Snowfall totals topped 15 inches in some parts of Southern Minnesota as a snowstorm moved through early Sunday morning.

Some schools in southwest Minnesota are beginning the week 2 hours late, so far, just Canby has closed for the day Monday.

The National Weather Service reported 15-point-5 inches dropped on Lake Crystal.

Locally, Lynd saw around 12 inches of snow, while Marshall received about 11. Minneota received around 10 inches of snow, Currie around 9, and Ivanhoe about 8.5.

Elsewhere, St. James had about a foot and Mankato saw about 11 inches. Parts of the Twin Cities Metro received over seven inches.

Clear weather is expected over the next two days with colder air moving in later in the week.
