Yankees Advance With Victory Over Raymond

The Milroy Yankees have locked up the number one seed in Region 11C. They did that with a 1-0 victory over Raymond.

Austin Deutz went the distance for the Yankees, giving up one run on four hits on the afternoon. Milroy didn't get a ton of offense off of Raymond starter Jordan Smith, but got the big hits when they needed them.

Andy Schmidt led off the top of the second inning with a double, and Justin Schlemmer followed with a double of his own to score Schmidt, but that's all Deutz would need, as he controlled the game and struck out seven.

Milroy is now 16-7 on the season, and will play August 25th, as they have a bye in the first round of state.
