ST. PAUL (LEARFIELD) – October is College Knowledge month and officials at Minnesota State are waiving the application fee for students to apply for admission to Minnesota State schools.

“It’s a statewide initiative to encourage students to consider all of their college options,” said Minnesota State Spokesman Doug Anderson. “The colleges and universities of Minnesota State are participating by waiving application fees for application for admission for all or part of the month of October,” said Anderson.

Anderson says it’s about a $25 savings.

“They can visit the websites of any of the 30 colleges and seven state universities of Minnesota State,” said Anderson. “Or if they’d like to they can visit the Minnesota State website.”

He adds that application fees can also be waived for qualified low-income students and active-duty military service members deployed overseas.
