ST. PAUL (KMHL) – The Minnesota State College and Universities System approved a three percent tuition fee increase for the 2019-2020 academic year.

The Minnesota State Board of Trustees approved the $2.1 billion dollar budget package. It means after several years of tuition freezes the average annual tuition at universities in the system will rise by about $231.

The tuition hike comes as the Minnesota State system is looking at another year of declining enrollment.
