Mass of Christian Burial for Leonard DeVos, 85, of Marshall, will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall.  Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a CCW Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a Parish Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Rehkamp Horvath Funeral Home in Marshall.  Visitation will continue on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment with military honors will follow the service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Marshall.

Leonard Joseph DeVos was born on June 9, 1934, in Marshall, MN, to Cyriel and Lena (Boerjan) DeVos.  Leonard grew up on the family farm.  He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army for two years.  On May 21, 1960, he was united in marriage to Barbara Blomme at St. Clotilde Catholic Church.  The couple farmed and raised their family north of Marshall.  Leonard also sold Vigortone Feed.  He and Barb enjoyed travelling and fishing.  In November, 2000, they moved to Marshall.  Leonard delivered the Marshall Independent to local communities and also delivered vehicles for Lockwood Motors.  He was passionate about farming and his family.

Leonard died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 19, 2020, at his residence in Marshall.  He is survived by his wife, Barb, of Marshall, children Greg (and Sheryl) DeVos of Marshall, Brian (and Dorothy) DeVos of Waseca, Cathy (and Mike) Louwagie of Marshall, Susie DeVos of Minnetonka, Nancy (and Mike) Coffey of Chicago, grandchildren Derek (and Angie) DeVos, Devin (and Elizabeth) DeVos, Deanna (and Alex) Lessman, Denaca (and Grant) Moorse, April (and Matt) Thompson, Brittney (and Matt) Lien, Casie DeVos, Brandon (and Melissa) Louwagie, Meagan (and Jacob) Hoflock, and Charlie Louwagie, great-grandchildren Olivia, Isabelle, Elaira, Eden, Lucy, Logan, Lincoln, Delaney, Hadley, Brantley, Walton, Owen, Emmett, Avery and Ryker.  Also survived by siblings Jake, Rosie and Chuck (and Patty), nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Mary Ann and Jim.
