Lawrence Rader, age 91, of St. Leo, MN passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the Sanford Canby Medical Center. Due to current CEC recommendations the memorial mass of Christian burial will be held at a later date and will be announced by the Houseman Funeral Home when a date has been determined.

Lawrence Emil Rader was born on January 1, 1929 in St. Leo MN to Anton and Cecelia (Skrypek) Rader. He grew up in St. Leo. On June 25, 1949 he was united in marriage to Marilyn Steyaert. He was a lifelong member of St. Leo Church and St. Leo’s Men’s Club. For many years he was a member of St. Leo’s Fire Department, St. Leo’s City Council and City Assessor. He was owner and operator of “Rader’s Produce” which operated milk, cream, and egg routes. In 1969 he sold the business and went to work in road construction until retiring in 1993. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren at Lake Cochrane. He also enjoyed traveling to various states to visit his brothers and sisters, and his trips to Florida with family and friends.

Lawrence passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the Sanford Canby Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn of St. Leo; son Larry Rader of Montevideo, MN; daughter Brenda (Dan) Meyer of Woodstock, MN; daughter Karen (Richard) Citrowske of Ham Lake, MN; son Steve (Sherry) Rader of Farmington, MN, son Ron (Lisa) Rader of La Crosse, WI; twelve grandchildren, Britta, Bailey, Mike, Erin, Joe, Cheri, Eric, Chad, Travis, Jessica, Andrew, and Alex; nine great-grandchildren, Maren, Jaidyn, Ryan, Jarret, Hailey, Tyler, Peyton, Sylas, and Reid; and sister Sr. Rosemary Rader of St. Paul; sisters in law Hilaria Rader, Ruby Rader, and Keiko Rader. He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 siblings.
