OLIVIA (KMHL) – A judge ruled an Olivia boy, who is accused of sex crimes, is incompetent to stand trial in his own defense.

Authorities say the boy sexually molested three girls at his mother’s daycare from August 2017 through last January. He is facing three counts of criminal sexual conduct.

Judge Dwayne Knutson ruled the boy was at least temporarily incompetent to defend himself.

The boys’ mother, 45-year-old Peggy Uhlenkamp is also charged with failing to report the abuse and child neglect. Knutson ruled previously the case against her case could proceed.
