GRANITE FALLS (KMHL) – A purchase agreement between Avera Health and Granite Falls Health has been finalized. The organizations have been working on the agreement for several months.
Avera held a press conference in Granite Falls yesterday announcing the official purchase of Granite Falls Health, which became official January 1st.
The facilities will now be called Avera Granite Falls Health Center, the Avera Medical Group Clinic, the Avera Granite Ridge Senior Living and Avera Granite Falls Home Health.
The city will continue to own the buildings themselves and Avera will lease the buildings from the city.
Officials say joining Avera will be positive for health care in the Granite Falls area.
