MONTEVIDEO (KMHL) – Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the death of two people in rural Chippewa County.
The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a call to locate a potentially suicidal person around noon Sunday.
Authorities say deputies located two adults in a secluded spot near the Sparta Cemetery – one of the adults was declared dead at the scene, the other was transported to North Memorial Medical Center where they were pronounced dead.
The manner of the deaths is still under investigation – authorities will release the names and the manner of death after autopsies are completed.
