Mustangs Sweep Bulldogs Move to 8-0
The Southwest Minnesota State Mustang baseball team swept the University of Minnesota-Duluth again yesterday down in Ft. Myers, Florida. SMSU beat the Bulldogs 10-9 in the first game, winning on a walk off homerun by Tracy-native Matt Bauer. Bauer finished the first game 5-5 with 2RBI and three runs scored, including the walkoff homer. Tyler Paulson picked up the win, he was working in relief of Jared Pick and Aaron Rocheleau. Then in game two, the Mustangs won 10-3, as Bauer homered again in the second game, his third of the season. He was 2-4 2 RBI and again three runs scored, while Andrew Kinney also homered for SMSU. On the day, Bauer was involved in 10 of the 20 runs the Mustangs scored in their sweep of UMD.
