Noethlich Ready to Open Camp With Vikings Tomorrow
he Minnesota Vikings open training camp tomorrow, former Southwest Minnesota State Offensive lineman Bill Noethlich will be there. He will be the first Mustang to appear in an NFL traning camp since the early 1990's. Noethlich says he's excited to put the pads on in a Vikings uniform. "Excited the most, obviously nervous too, but at the same time I am ready to get out there and get it going," said Noethlich. "A lot of people have been asking me if I'm ready for training camp, and I'm ready for it to be here and get it started, I'm done talking about it." He started for four years along the Mustangs offensive line. Noethlich stands 6'7 and weighs 303 pounds as he prepares for a Training Camp with the Vikings. He says he's comfortable with where he is at. "The nice thing is for the first time in my football career, I am being asked to lose some weight," said Noethlich. "It's always been put on weight, put on weight, and I was 312 at the end of OTA's and they have asked me to be 300 to 305." Noethlich says he is 303. The Vikings run their first practice tomorrow afternoon, starting at 4PM, and Noethlich earned a spot of the 81 in training camp by performing impressively at the rookie mini camp and OTA's in the offseason.
