A's Beat Hanska, Clinch Two Seed
The Marshall A's defeated Hanska last night 5-1 to lock up the two seed in the section playoffs. It was the second win by the A's over Hanska to lock up the two seed. Marshall sits at 3-1 in the section now, and the best New Ulm can finish is 3-3, and Marshall has the tiebreaker. Last night, Matt Paulsen went the distance for Marshall, giving up one run on four hits, while striking out four. Marshall scored two runs in the second to open up the scoring, Hanska cut the lead to 2-1 in the sixth, but in the late innings Marshall put it away with one in the seventh, then two in the 9th. Chace Pollock and Tyler Fayden each had two hits for the A's and an RBI. Nate Koppi had two hits including a double and a single.
