Mudhens Fall To Top Seeded Luverne

The Minneota Mudhens fell to top seeded Luverne 9-7 last night in the Gopher League Playoffs. For Minneota it was their first loss of the double elimination Gopher League Tournament. Tony Shaikoski started for Minneota, he took the loss in the game. Phil Pauquette started for Luverne he picked up the win, Andrew DeBoer finished off the game for the Red Birds. Shaikoski gave up all nine runs in five plus-innings for Minneota. Jason Myhre led the Minneota Offense, he had three hits, Tyson Sonneburg had two hits and two RBI. Zach Olson hit a pair of triples in the game for Luverne. They advance to the Regional Tournament and will play in the Championship game on Sunday. Minneota plays to get into the Regional Tournament on Friday in Wilmont.
