DeMasi Named All-American

When the SMSU Mustangs take the floor Wednesday in the NCAA Division two Elite Eight, they will be doing so with one of sixteen All Americans. Senior forward Ross DeMasi was named a Division two All-American by the NABC, and is just the second Southwest player to earn that honor since Scott Koenan in 2001.

DeMasi leads all Mustang scorers and rebounders, with 8.9 and 9.1 points and rebounds per game respectively. His 308 total rebounds for the season is the second highest single season total in school history in that department.

DeMasi was also named to the 2009 All-Central Region Tournament Team, and first team All-NSIC.
