Postal Service Bomb Threats
A number of Minnesota post offices received bomb threat letters this week. This is the second round of threats in just over a month. Jeff Long is with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service he says threats like these are not taken lightly: "The post office is offering a reward in this matter of up to 100-thousand dollars for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for the mailing of these bomb threat letters," said Long. The first round of bomb threat letters arrived at eight post offices in the Mankato area during the first week of February. Long said the affected employees have been informed. "All of the employees in those locations have been notified and been made aware, and we have been taking steps to keep them informed," said Long. If you know anything, you should contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. Any information passed along to officials will remain confidential.
