SMSU Web Page Nabs 5 Awards

The S-M-S-U webpage was recently the recipient of five different awards from the e-d-u-style-dot-net. The SMSU webpage won awards in the categories of Best Prospective Student or Admissions Site, Best Visual Design Categories, Best overall Web site, and Best Homepage. Publication Editor Marci Olson says that the redesigning of the web page has been under design for a few years now. “It’s something that we have worked on quite a number of years,” said Marcy Olson. “We have been tweaking the look we have, and coming up with the look that is right for us.” The redesigning work was completed in a three month time frame. Olson also says that the web site will help the staff at SMSU decipher what they are doing well. “I think that for the campus it will tell us internally what we are doing well,” added Olson. Olson says these are just the first of a few more changes to come to the SMSU web page in the near future.
