Council Moves Final Approvals On Library Project

The Marshall city council met last night and approved the final actions to start building the new Marshall/Lyon County Library. The council went over some of the final approvals, including officially awarding bids to the Robert L Carr Construction Company. Library Board Chairperson Al Kruse was in attendance last night, he feels the new library will bring much to the area. "A library is one facility where the youngest users can use it, and people use it until the day they die," said Kruse. "Its the only facility that every single person can take advantage of." The new library will bring many new features to those who use it, Kruse hopes it also creates more excitement. "We look forward to having programming on those computers that isn't available right now," said Kruse. "There are all kinds of things that we don't have on our compluters now, that we'd plan to have on computers in the new building." There is currently no date set for construction n the new library to begin, but Kruse says Robert Karr is looking to get construction underway A-S-A-P.
