Cory Buchert was sentenced to 41-months in prison on a charge of criminal vehicular homicide.

Court records say that Rathje and Buchert were riding ATV's when two crashes occurred, one of which injured Rathje, and following the accident Buchert did not call for help, but instead drug Rathje across a gravel road, and left her on the lawn, while he went inside his house and showered, washed clothes, and went to sleep, to find Rathje dead on the lawn later that morning.
