DANUBE (KMHL) –Two people are dead another critically injured following a two-vehicle accident that occurred in rural Renville County.
The Renville County Sheriff’s Office says the accident occurred at the intersection of County Roads 4 and County Road 1 around 11:30 Sunday morning.
Authorities say a 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander, driven by Anna Jansen, 88, of St. Michael, was traveling westbound on County Road 4 when she missed a stop sign and collided with a 2005 Buick LaCrosse, driven by David Swanson, 53, of Lincoln, Nebraska.
Sheriff’s officials say both drivers were killed in the crash.
Ronda Swanson, 53, of Lincoln, Nebraska was a passenger in the LaCrosse. She was flown from the scene to Hennepin County Medical Center, with critical injuries. There is no update on her condition.
Three other passengers in the LaCrosse were treated for non-life threatening injuries at area hospitals.
